Video | Progress on Anfield Stadium main stand

Redevelopment of the main stand at Anfield stadium in Liverpool

New timelapse footage showing construction progress on the redevelopment of Anfield stadium’s main stand has been released by Liverpool Football Club.

The football club said that 250t of steel had been erected between games and that two crawler cranes had completed the erection of the tenth and final front cantilever underneath the main truss.

The redevelopment of the main stand is being undertaken by contractor Carillion and is being carried out while the main stand remains in use.

The main truss was lifted into place on 24 July 2015 after bad weather delayed it on the grounds of safety.
