The Gallery | Aerial pictures show scale of London Bridge station work

Network Rail has released spectacular aerial photographs showing the work to transform platforms and realign track at London Bridge station.

The photographs show the construction site, which is a long as the Shard tower is high, at the eastern end of the station.

Reconstruction work involves reconfiguring platforms to open up more track for through trains. Work is due for completion in 2018.
