Skanska sells M25 stake for £265M

Skanska has sold its investment in the M25 for £265M to a private investment firm.

The buyer, Edge Orbital Holdings, will buy 40% of Connect Plus, which manages the M25. Other shareholders in the Connect Plus public private partnership are Balfour Beatty, Atkins and Egis.

The sale is subject to the go-ahead from Highways England, but is expected to be completed early next year.
