Pell Frischmann buys M&E specialist Desco

NCE stock business

German-owned Pell Frischmann has bought Sunderland-based Desco outright for an undisclosed sum, as part of its acquisition strategy.

Desco will keep its existing management structure. It has UK offices in Sunderland, London, Croydon and Leeds, as well as international offices in Qatar and Manila. Pell Frischmann said similar acquisitions will follow.

Pell Frischmann’s chief executive Tushar Prabhu said: “Pell Frischmann has a long-term strategy for dynamic growth through the acquisition of related and complementary consultancy engineering companies. Desco is a fast growing and innovative specialist in MEP engineering that fits Pell Frischmann well in terms of culture and ambition, and we are pleased welcome it into our team.”

Desco managing director Paul Marshall added: “This marks a new and exciting phase for Desco as we accelerate our growth strategy with the backing of a major international investor and with Pell Frischmann’s expertise across the infrastructure and property sectors.”
