One Great George Street gets gold

The ICE’s conference and events venue, One Great George Street, has achieved gold level accreditation in Accredited in Meetings (AIM) − the Meeting Industry Association’s (MIA) universally recognised indicator of quality for venues and services.

MIA is the largest association for the meetings industry for the UK & Ireland, and the keepers of the prestigious AIM scheme − the only meetings industry standard endorsed by VisitBritain.

One Great George Street is used for conferences, meetings, gala dinners, drinks receptions and even weddings. Its central London location makes it a popular choice for political figures, business leaders and stars of film and theatre.

“This is testimony to the venue and the standards of service delivered by the One Great George Street team.”

Tom Foulkes, ICE

One Great George Street is already a bronze award winning venue, voted Best UK Conference Centre and Best Conference & Banqueting Staff at the Meetings & Incentive Travel Magazine Awards in February 2009.

Achieving gold level AIM accreditation demonstrates a commitment to world class service and exceptional business principles. It also confirms that superior service levels have been achieved at the venue.

ICE director general Tom Foulkes said: “We are very proud to achieve gold AIM status at One Great George Street. This magnificent four-domed Edwardian building was once London’s best kept secret. Now its popularity with royalty, business leaders, political figures and stars of stage and screen is continually growing. This accreditation is testimony to the first class facilities of the venue and the top notch standards of service delivered by the One Great George Street team.”

    Dear Sirs,

I attended a SECED meeting at the Civils last Wednesday, 30th September 2009. The gentleman introducing the speakers (on modelling of violent water flows) was scathing about the ICE's maladministration and charges, perhaps to the point of being slanderous, and made an appeal to the audience to look for alternative venues for their meetings. Within those stunning facilities it is certain that at least one of your customers is less than impressed.
