Key Crossrail contract awards are delayed

Award of Crossrail’s £400M project delivery partner contract was this week understood to have been delayed by up to a week following a crucial Transport for London board meeting.

As NCE went to press the decision on the award of the smaller £100M programme partner contract was set to be announced on Wednesday.

Four companies are in the running for the £400M contract: Legacy 3, the Bechtel-led group, LaingO’Rourke/Atkins, and a joint venture between Capita Symonds and NNN.

Three others are bidding for theprogramme partner contract. They are: Legacy 3 (Parsons Brinckerhoff/ Balfour Beatty Management, the Bechtel/Halcrow/Systra bid, and Transcend (Aecom/CH2M Hill/Nichols Group).
