Forth Road Bridge is a great place to meet

Civil engineers from the Edinburgh area scaled the Forth Road Bridge to hold a recent committee meeting.
The very different venue came about as a result of a rare opportunity for the engineers to visit the top of one of the bridge’s famous towers.

“It’s unusual for such a visit to take place so we thought we’d combine it with one of our meetings,” said Stephen Batchen, treasurer of the Edinburgh Area Branch graduate and student committee of the ICE.
Joining the group on the visit were ICE Scotland chairman Alan Simpson and regional director Sara Thiam.
