Crossrail advertises Paddington works package

Crossrail has advertised an 18-month contract covering a package of integration works at Paddington station.

Work to be carried out under C272 includes construction of a shell and core for a relocated Hammersmith and City Line Underground Station as well as resurfacing works and construction of a roof.

The contractor will also have to install lifts and escalators, build a new taxi rank comprising mainly of steel frame, precast concrete infill floors and road surfacing work, and carry out work for Network Rail on Platform 12 of the main railway station.

To qualify, bidders must be able to demonstrate an average annual turnover of at least £100M for the three previous financial years. The deadline for submission of pre-qualification questionnaires is 20 November.
