The main contractors have been named by South West Water on its H50 Alliance.

North Midland Construction (NMC) has been appointed as main construction delivery partner over AMP7, while Stantec will work on design and ChandlerKBS will act as a cost consultant.

NMC stands to earn £25M-£45M a year for its work over the next control period. While Stantec could recoup fees over £50M during the same period.

A second contractor was originally part of the tender, however it has been put on pause.

The new H50 Alliance partners replace Balfour Beatty and Interserve who will continue until the end of AMP6.

NMC subsidiary Nomenca Limited Managing Director Andy Langman said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for the Group and our South West business. It not only builds on our recent MEICA Framework award but provides a strong platform for future growth and long-term sustainability in the South West region.”
