Bid for Belfast harbour scheme

Contractors have been given less than three weeks to throw their hats in the ring for a £15M project at Belfast Harbour.

An official notice was published today in the Official Journal of the European Union advertising the scheme to build a berth for cruise ships at the entrance to the Northern Irish capital.

Firms were given until 21 March to register their interest, with the project expected to begin on site this summer and complete next spring.

Works will include dredging; quay construction; berthing and mooring infrastructure; and shore side surfacing.
