Anniversary plaque unveiled

ICE Wales Cymru presents a plaque to Arriva trains to mark the 150th anniversary of the great engineer Robert Stephenson’s death.

Stephenson, a former ICE president and an MP, was at the forefront of the development of the railway network in Great Britain and across the world. He was the chief engineer for the Chester and Holyhead Railway.
