Amey announces new chief executive

Amey has announced civil engineer Andy Milner is to be its new chief executive, replacing Mel Ewell who will retire at the end of March.

Milner is currently director of consulting and strategic infrastructure division at the Ferrovial-owned business. Ewell has been in the job for 15 years, seeing the business grow four fold, from £600M to £2.5bn.

Milner said: “I am delighted to be offered the opportunity to be chief executive of this outstanding company, and wish to thank Mel for the leadership and guidance he has given to me over the last decade. I am inheriting a strong, profitable business that is extremely well placed to help our customers at a time of change in our markets.”
