Alun Griffiths to build Hereford link road

NCE stock roads

Herefordshire Council and Balfour Beatty Living Places have appointed Alun Griffiths to build Hereford’s new £27M link road.

The City Link Road will create the infrastructure for 800 new homes on the Edgar Street Grid redevelopment site.

Construction will begin in July 2016 and will take around 15 months to complete.

The council’s cabinet member for infrastructure Philip Price said: “I am happy to announce that Griffiths have been awarded the contract for the road; they are a local company and it’s good for all of us that we are employing a contractor who directly contributes to the local economy through the employment of local people.”
