Last deck section on Greece's Rion Antirion cable stayed bridge

The last deck section on Greece's 2.2km long, five span Rion Antirion cable stayed bridge was lifted into place last month. Deck surfacing work by the Vinci led Gefyra design and build consortium should finish by early August; and although the project is not strictly part of the Olympic preparations this will allow an Olympic runner to carry the flame across the mouth of the Gulf of Corinth. Construction supervisor was the UK's FaberMaunsell.
