Lagan to resurface taxiways at Heathrow

Belfast-based Lagan Construction International has won £10M of surfacing work at Heathrow Airport.

The firm will produce and lay asphalt on the Alpha Bravo Taxiway for Ferrovial Agroman, and on the Sierra Taxiway for Morgan Sindall.

Works will mainly be carried out during night time possessions and will be completed by mid-2016.

Lagan Construction International contracts manager Kieran McIlhatton said: “We are thrilled to be working at Heathrow Airport for both Ferrovial Agroman and Morgan Sindall and we are confident that this will be the start of a long standing relationship.

“Our airport teams have an excellent track record, both in the UK and internationally, of carrying out works during night time possessions in order to successfully deliver airport surfacing contracts and we are confident we will deliver these contracts not only successfully but to the highest standard”.
