Komatsu will be seeking attention with the fastest machine at the show, but this Williams F1 car which is sponsored by the Japanese construction machinery builder is not noted for its earthmoving capability.

Despite its origins Komatsu now estimates that 95% of its machines sold in Europe are made in Europe such as its range of Komatsu Hanomag wheel loaders which the company says it will present at Bauma with many detailed changes. New launches from the UK arm of the firm include the PW130ES- 6 and PW170ES-6 wheeled excavators which claim a maximum road speed of 30km/h.

New equipment in the wheel loader range will be the WA600-3 which boasts more power and bucket capacity with less emissions. Among the many machines on display will be a massive 110t PC1100-6 crawler excavator and new 91t HD785-5 dump truck, reminding the opposition that Komatsu is a big player in heavy metal. Reinforcing that image will be the 240t H255S Komatsu Demag hydraulic excavator, a mid range model in a line that includes a 685t machine.
