ICE News

The inaugural meeting of the joint ICE/Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors commercial management board has been held at Great George Street. Said to reflect the changes in working practice of the traditional civil engineering surveyor who now has responsibilities in procurement and financial and commercial administration, the CMB was formed after a memorandum of agreement between the two institutions was signed last September. A timetable for a joint programme is being prepared. Photograph shows ICE's David Backhouse and ICES's David Carrick.
