Jobs on the inside

A completely new diploma in engineering is being launched in schools and colleges in September this year. What’s new is the way the subject is taught: only part of it will actually be in the classroom.

The majority of learning will take place in colleges and with companies. Having this insider knowledge into engineering is likely to give students on the diploma course a head start on the career ladder. The diploma teaches students about engineering’s contribution to the modern world.

This can be construction, aeronautical, healthcare, automotive or even entertainment related engineering. The diploma is being run in 63 areas in the country at three levels:foundation, higher and advanced, which ultimately can lead to university or job in civil engineering.
