Jet grouting goes transatlantic

Tecniwell manufactures equipment for ground stabilisation and treatment, in particular jet grouting. It produces a range of high pressure pumps for jet grouting ranging up to 1,000bars as well as general jet grouting equipment such as injection monitors and nozzles.

President Mauro Chinchelli says that the company is trying to promote jet grouting in the US and has teamed up with American directional drilling contractor Accu-dril.

The method is not well known in the US he says, and 'ground improvement is in its infancy'. But he adds attitudes are changing and the techniques are becoming popular, with about $60M of jet grouting being carried out on the Central Artery project in Boston.
