Jersey rockface secured ahead of main tourist season

Cliffs above a popular beach in Jersey have been stabilised ahead of the start of the main tourist season.

Contractor Geomarine used rope access techniques to install the Stainless UK Grip-Rib anchors in the cliff face at Greve De Lecq and to secure protective steel netting.

According to Geomarine, the pre-cut lengths of Grip-Rib anchors were selected for the project because the metric thread at the end of the bars was thread rolled onto the bar to produce a thread without removing any material from the bar in order to maintain strength in the threaded section.
