Aces wins contract for Jeddah’s corniche project

Jeddah Coastline

The quality control and material testing contract for Jeddah’s Corniche Development Project has been awarded to Aces Jeddah.

The SAR800M (£150M) seafront project runs 4.5km from the Al-Nawras roundabout in south Jeddah to the crossroads that link Jibreen Bin Al-Harith Street in the north.

Once complete, the project will provide views to the Red Sea amid fountains, waterfalls and lakes.

An Aces site lab is set to carry out routine compressive strength testing on concrete, field density tests, soil classification and asphalt testing.

Further testing for steel tensile and bending strength, manhole cover load tests, and paint thickness will take place in the company’s central Jeddah labs.

Contractor PC Marine Services, subcontractor Saudi Salco Contracting and consultant Bernard will work on the project over two years.
