JCB invests £8M in its UK factories

JCB has embarked on an £8M investment programme at its manufacturing plants in the Midlands and Wale as the company gears up for future growth in global markets.

The money is being spent at JCB’s s factories on new machine tools to improve component quality and production efficiency, and includes new machines to increase production capacity for hydraulic rams by 20%.

JCB chief executive Alan Blake said: “JCB has ambitious plans to grow its business and investing heavily in our manufacturing capability to increase capacity and enhance quality is key to meeting our expansion goals.”
