Jarvis shares plunge

Jarvis shares plunged by 60% on Monday after the company announced a string of further setbacks. Shares slumped from 17p to 13p after the revelation that total cash outflow this financial year will be £80M more than anticipated. Jarvis has also lost a Cheshire County Council roads contract and has been dropped from a Norfolk County Council schools PFI project. It has also written off £9M to settle a dispute with Network Rail over contracts that yielded less than expected.
