It's engineers that give that royal flush

Letters

Following a long weekend at a rock festival, I have found a sure fire way to improve the civil engineer's standing in society.

We should stick posters up in all the 'porta-loos' at such events to remind the brave and desperate that it is civil engineers who provide their homes and workplaces with clean running water and a safe and efficient sewerage system.

Believe me, the next time they use their own toilet they will be singing the praises of our clan and not taking the flush for granted!
