Tecroc Products has launched a new high strength pump-placed mortar ideal for infill and providing structural support on insitu installations and precast concrete units, it says.

Tecroc pumpable mortar is claimed to be suitable for placing in horizontal and vertical gaps requiring a cementitious mortar infill and where flow grouting is inappropriate and conventional dry packing is too labour intensive.

The mortar is injected, using a proprietary hand gun, into gaps from 5mm to 50mm and up to 300mm deep using different nozzles.

The high strength void-free bond typically achieves a compressive strength of 20N/mm 2at 24 hours at 20degreesC rising to 53N/mm 2at 28 days.

The Portland cement based mix design has been formulated to produce a low water requirement and incorporates shrinkage compensating elements.
