Italian drilling cooperation named Synergy

Trevi’s Drillmec and Soilmec equipment divisions have signed a cooperation agreement with Italy-based microdrilling and tunnelling specialist EGT. Under the joint venture - named Synergy - the trio will manufacture and sell horizontal drilling (HDD) equipment.

According to Trevi, Drillmec and Soilmec will draw on experience of using HDD techniques from the company’s construction network, including its Petreven business which specialises in using advanced drilling equipment under difficult conditions.

The companies believe the creation of Synergy will allow them to take advantage of opportunities arising from the growth in the oil and hydrocarbons market.
