International link-up

European collaboration seems to be paying off at an international level for British foundations contractor May Gurney Technical Services, although their rewards have come close to home.

'We have a policy of developing relationships with companies in a number of countries,' says May Gurney's Chris Heath. 'And having introduced a Dutch contact to clients in Sri Lanka, they returned the favour by putting us in touch with Dutch engineers Architek Tenbureau Jansen Eerbreck.' This led to an inquiry and the contract for a significant CFA piling job at Corby in Northants, a neighbouring county to May Gurney's Norfolk base
