The company that entered into talks to buy rail specialist contractor Jarvis has pulled-out of negotiations.
In a statement to the City, the company confirmed: “On 10 September 2009, the Board of Jarvis announced that it had received a tentative inquiry about a possible offer for the Company.
“As was noted at the time, the inquiry was extremely preliminary and has not led to an approach or offer.
“Consequently, the Company confirms that it is no longer engaged in any discussions that may or may not lead to an offer for the Company and accordingly the Company is no longer in an Offer Period for the purposes of the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers.”
