Integrated federal transport system

Roads-The three-stage tendering process for the 'immediate road work plan' will see road concessions let to upgrade around 7,200km of highway in three stages between now and March, worth $1.1bn (£690M): 3,100km worth $420M (£265M); 900km worth $200M (£125M); and 3,200km worth $490M (£305M) lA further $1.9bn (£1.2bn) of funding for the rehabilitation and construction of 12,200km of highway will follow by the end of 2003.
