Instrumentation joint venture will bring new data management techniques to the UK market

Geotechnical Observations has announced that it has signed a joint venture agreement with Hong Kong-based Maxwell Geosystems.

Under the agreement, the companies will tender for instrumentation and monitoring contracts together in the UK, with Geotechnical Observations undertaking the supply, installation, set-up and reading of geotechnical and structural instrumentation, and Maxwell managing the data using its web-based software.

Both companies will provide engineering support from their experienced geotechnical teams.

According to Geotechnical Observations managing director Andrew Ridley, the partnership complements his business’s existing agreements with Measurand for the use of Shape Accel Arrays and Sisgeo for geotechnical instrumentation equipment.
