India power back on after major blackout

India’s power supply has been restored after a massive power failure in its northern states plunged much of the population into darkness for the past two days.

The blackout affected the Northern, Eastern and North-Eastern power grids according to state-owned utility the Power Grid Corporation of India, one of them went down for two consecutive days.

Major cities such as Dehli and Kolkata, and states such as Punjab and Rajastan lost power. The grid operator has yet to give any explanation for the blackout.

I think, now india should concentrate more on natural resources for power development i.e. Solar / Wind etc.,. There should be change in every individual to look towards self supporting power solar power back up etc.,(house wise) for basic needs, which will help a lot in reducing use of generated power.

Every house should turn towards use of LED lamps instead of high consuming incandescent lamps. This will have a great impact on power saving and long run of bulbs in comparison with life and cost.
