in brief The Government

The Government has admitted that 1,258 London Underground trains were cancelled in May and 239 delayed for more than 10 minutes. Speaking in the House of Commons, transport minister Helen Liddell also outlined plans to close sections of the Bakerloo and Victoria Lines for maintenance in the autumn. This will follow current closures of the Circle Line and the City branch of the Northern Line.
