in brief Ritchies

Ritchies, the geotechnical division of contractor Edmund Nuttall, has been awarded a £1.1M contract by Scottish and Southern Energy to repair parts of a 29km network of mainly unlined rock tunnels on the Lochay aqueduct system in central Scotland. Rockbolting, dowelling and sprayed concrete will be used to improve tunnel stability and safeguard against further deterioration.
