NEWS

An independent referee will be able to force disclosure of information to the public on major infrastructure projects under a new Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions Code of Practice issued this week. However, Planning Minister Nick Raynsford admitted that in some cases commercial sensitivity would allow non-disclosure. This would be open to challenge.
