Improving transport in London

A £10bn investment in improving transport in London would be recouped in tax receipts within 10 years, a London Chamber of Commerce report stated this week. The research from the National Institute of Economic & Social Research also states that 170,000 jobs would be created in the short term, 19,000 in the long term and London's economic output would rise by 6% during the investment period.
