ICE members can now self-assess their skillsets and identify areas for development with a new online tool.
The Skills Analysis Tool can be accessed by ICE members on the ICE Learning Hub. It enables members to self-assess 29 work-based skills. Members can then access relevant learning content to improve areas of weakness.
ICE director of engineering knowledge Nathan Baker said, “As part of the ICE’s ongoing commitment to members’ lifelong learning and continuous professional development, we have launched the Skills Analysis Tool to help members to identify their own training needs and take control of their future career development. Our aim is to support a deeper understanding of civil engineering and the skills required for professional practice.”
To help the ICE provide a platform that responds to members’ needs and reflect the ways in which they want to access learning material, users are encouraged to give feedback on the Skills Analysis Tool and other areas of the Learning Hub to email@example.com.
