Lecture celebrates Capability Brown anniversary

Capability brown

The ICE will host a special lecture at One Great George Street to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of 18th century landscape architect Capability Brown on 25 February.

The lecture will recognise Brown’s significant contribution to civil engineering. He was responsible for over 250 gardens, transforming them with earthworks, drainage schemes, earth dams, roads and planting. He was responsible for innovative engineering that survives today.
