ICE to celebrate Women in Engineering Day

The ICE and its members will be holding lectures, school visits and celebrating women in the industry in the media to mark National Women in Engineering Day (NWED) on 23 June.

Rising profile: women engineers

Women represent 12% of ICE members and female applications to the ICE are slowly rising, with graduate numbers at 16%. The 2016 NWED carries a “raising profiles” theme. ICE activities include a lecture at Cardiff University profiling three leading female civil engineers. ICE Publishing will also be featuring a series of published
