More than three-quarters of built environment professionals believe that artificial intelligence (AI) will have a positive impact on the sector, according to new ICE research.

Sixty per cent of participants believe AI will increase productivity but fewer than 25% think it will improve dispute management, consenting and project approval. The study revealed mixed views on AI’s impact on employment. Half of those polled said that AI could pose a threat to jobs, but 48% believe it will lead to new skills and professional opportunities.
