ICE news

Notices The annual general meeting of the Institution of Civil Engineers will be held in the Telford Theatre at the ICE on 18 July starting at 5.30pm. The meeting will receive the Council's report for the year ended 31 December 1999, together with the statement of accounts and the auditor's report. It will also receive a formal report on the election of Council members and appoint auditors. Copies of the report will be available to members before the meeting and an annual review of the report and accounts will be distributed to all members with NCE and NCE International.

The AGM will be followed by the Smeaton Lecture 2000, on The Regeneration of the Forth & Clyde and Union canals to be introduced by Professor Roland Paxton. A Civils Dining Society dinner will follow the lecture, which is open to all members and their guests.
