In accordance with By-law 16 a list of those who have applied for membership of the Institution is available on the ICE website. The list is updated at the beginning of each month.

This year's annual ICE carol service will take place in St Margaret's Church, Westminster Abbey, on Wednesday 18 December starting at 5pm. The ICE choir will be led as ever by assistant director Robert Huxford, who welcomes any choristers - professional or amateur - to swell their ranks. After the service mince pies and mulled wine will be served in One Great George Street. All are welcome.

Three thousand members have voted Brunel the greatest engineer of all time in the ICE's own 'Greatest Briton' style poll.

The poll developed into a close contest between Brunel and Danish engineer Ove Arup, with Brunel eventually surging to victory with 33% of the vote compared to Arup's 28%. Both candidates were a long way clear of third placed Joseph Bazalgette who claimed 7% of the votes.
