A thanksgiving service for the life and work of ICE past president John Baxter will be held in St Margaret's Church, Westminster Abbey at 12pm on Monday 15 March. Baxter died in October last year, aged 86.

He was a founding member of consultant Maunsell and ICE president for the 1976/77 session. To attend contact the ICE conference office (020) 7665 2315.

Further to an article in NCE last week in relation to the ICE's State of the Nation report, the ICE has stressed that the State of the Nation Panel has not yet met to debate the content of this year's report. While transport is a key segment, it would be premature to prejudge the outcome of the Panel's discussions.
