Arup associate director Colin Clinton has been formally elected president of the ICE for 2004/2005. He takes over from current president Doug Oakervee in November.

Oakervee described Clinton as the ideal choice to preside over a year that will be 'so focused on the regions'. Clinton has served 10 years with ICE Midlands as secretary, chairman and Council territorial member.

The ICE disciplinary board has found Michael David Royall of Wokingham in Berkshire to be in breach of bylaw 35 and rule 2 of the Institution's rules for professional conduct. Under the powers conferred on it by bylaw 38, the board has ordered that Royall, membership number 42853436, be reprimanded and fined £500.
