The ICE and NCEI will be supporting this year's celebration of civil engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel's 200th birthday at the Brunel Bicentenary conference which will take place on 6-7 July. Speakers include Network Rail chief executive John Armitt, Arup chairman Terry Hill, former minister of transport Steve Norris, ICE president Gordon Masterton and Millau Viaduct structural engineer Michel Virlogeux. Other events include visits to SS Great Britain and the Clifton Suspension Bridge.
