ICE Council has voted in favour of increasing the 2007 membership subscription by 9% in line with the 2007/10 financial plan. This follows a 15% increase in the 2006 subscription rate. Concession and retired member rates will be unchanged. Under bylaw 42, members do not need to be balloted as there have been fewer than three successive subs increases, of 10% or less, since the last ballot in 2005.

Global poverty relief champion Paul Jowitt is set to be ICE president in 2009. ICE Council recommended him for the job earlier this month, and also confirmed Jowitt, David Orr, Jean Venables, Scott Steadman and Peter Hansford as vice presidents for the 2006/07 term. Keith Seago stepped down as vice president and will be replaced by Richard Coakley.

The ICE has published the latest version of the ICE Condition of Contract O Target Cost, which encourages earlier contractor involvement and sharing of profit and loss between employer and contractor to promote innovation.
