ICE kicks off National Construction Week

ICE News

THE ICE is at the heart of National Construction Week. Up and down the country LAs have been encouraged to host events and activities.

On Monday, Great George Street will see the opening of the exhibition Our River, atribute to every civil engineer, past, present and future whose skill and ingenuity has, or will be, challenged by the River Thames.

The River Thames is the most dynamic and powerful natural resource in London. Throughout history, civil engineers have crossed, controlled and cleaned the river making the Capital what it is today.

Projects featured include all three London Bridges, Bazalgette's sewer system, the Dome, the London Eye, Thames Tunnel and City Airport.

The exhibition is free and is open from 9.00am until 5.00pm every weekday until 15 September.
