THE ICE is braced for criticism from members over the production quality of the 2002 Membership Cards.
A new approach to the billing process means that membership cards this year are integrated into a membership questionnaire Targeting our Services.
The Institution has accepted that the result is unsatisfactory and has apologised in advance.
'We are always striving to achieve better quality and value for money to release funding to enhance other membership activities and services, ' said finance director Ian Powney.
'However, in the case of the membership card for 2002, we recognise we have not achieved the standard required and we will certainly review the uses, quality and format of the card for the next subscription process.'
On a more positive note Powney added: 'We are delighted to see an increased level of returns of the Targeting our Services information sheet, and this will certainly improve our ability to provide members with the information they require in a more focused way while informing us of the key themes members feel we should concentrate on in 2002'.
