Ian Byatt

Water regulator Ian Byatt has published a paper setting out his estimated costs of meeting water quality programmes between 2000 and 2005. The paper includes an open letter to ministers seeking guidance on the scale and timing of improvements to drinking water and sewage treatment. 'It is less a question of whether these improvements should be implemented, more a question of when and how,' he said.
