Humble request

Letters

I read with great interest your article on the QUEST Scholarship - especially how feedback from employers and students alike was positive (NCE 7 April).

As only so many of the awards were through employers, please think of us QUEST-only scholars who are still awaiting a mentor nearly six months after we were awarded the scholarship.

I am just starting out on the civil engineering trail, being the only successful engineering technician scholar for 2004/5 and studying towards an HNC in civil engineering.

This is a plea for someone in the North East of England (County Durham) who would be willing to act as my mentor to allow me to achieve full membership of the Institution.
