HR Wallingford

News

Water research company HR Wallingford has just completed a two year Department of Trade & Industry research project into flow resistance in pumping mains. New values for pipe roughness were calculated from tests on 23 wastewater pumping systems. HR Wallingford's design guideline tables - Tables for the design of pipes, sewers and channels - are being rewritten and will be published within six months.

The design roughness values will rise slightly.
